July Director’s Meeting - Pregame

Happy Independence Day, Silver Spurs Ranch Neighbors!

Ahead of our next Director’s Meeting on Wednesday, July 8th at 6:00 PM at the Mercantile/Steakhouse, we’d like to highlight a couple of important items.

1. Firewise Community Initiative

The board has already decided to begin the process of becoming a Firewise USA® community. To move forward, we need to form a committee with interested POA members.

If you’re interested, please send a short email or letter of interest to silverspurspoa@gmail.com. We especially encourage you to attend the Director’s Meeting on Wednesday.

2. Wild Horses Advisory Committee

The board will explore forming an advisory/action committee to address how wild horses affect our community and identify possible POA actions. Our goals include supporting property owners while promoting humane treatment of the horses in Southern Colorado.

Keith and Maryellen have kindly offered to provide a short introduction on the horses commonly seen on the ranch and how the POA might get involved. They have also expressed interest in serving on the committee if it is formed.

We hope to see many of you at the meeting! Attendees will have the opportunity to address the board on these topics, other agenda topics, and other issues or questions you might have.
