2026 Jan Board Meeting

Greetings Ranchers. On Jan 14th we enjoyed a successful director’s meeting at the Stokehouse. We value the POA Members from our community who also attended. Remember, these meetings are held every other month on the second Wednesday and are always open to POA members. Great visiting with you all. 

Highlights 

Our board formed a Roads Committee  under our current Road Captain, Seth Oberg.  Brett Eversmann, Larry Schumacher and Rick Zahn are onboard. This committee is an effort in the right direction toward maximizing focus on our most important and expensive line item, road maintenance and snow removal. Thank you committee members for stepping up for our community!  

Further, our board approved a grazing lease negotiated with the McConnells that features a $1000 per year increase to our yearly grazing income (from $5k to $6k per year) with a 10-year term thus retaining our favored agricultural tax status for a significantly longer period (prior term expiring in March was 5 years).  We enjoy our ongoing relationships and business arrangements with the McConnells as they are a part of our community and have proven to be sound stewards of our lands and grazing pastures.
