Current Fire Concerns

Everyone should be well aware of the wildfires.  Right now there is NO immediate threat.  Call in any new signs of smoke you see from the ranch.  Of course follow ALL fire restrictions in place (https://huerfano.us/stage-2-fire-restrictions-effective-june-30-2026/), but you might also want to consider the following:

Topping up your cisterns and water containers

Refueling your vehicles

Reviewing your Evacuation Bag/Kit

Moving combustible fuels (trees, shrubs, trash, wood piles, etc.) as far from your residences as possible.  No chainsaws!

Check in with neighbors who might not be connected to news through the internet or otherwise.  If unable to do so, let us know.

Be prepared to evacuate if required.  Don’t panic.  Property is only property.  It’s not worth risking your life.
